Partnering in Uganda

Mission Trip to Uganda-Kind Intentions Ministries

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us.” (Psalm 67:1) These words recall the blessing that we receive each Friday at chapel and (in my faith tradition) each Sunday at church. I relish the blessing of a good, good Father. I love living under His smile. However, it is the next verse of Psalm 67 that I am seeking to understand and to live out in a greater way. The Psalmist writes, “that your way may be known on the earth, your saving power among all nations.”

God blesses us because He is a good Father, and He wants us to share the blessing with others, with all nations, in fact. You just can’t escape the Great Commission! It isn’t just in that well known passage from Matthew 28. It is everywhere in the Bible! It’s a big job but someone has to do it.

“The key to fulfilling the Great Commission is partnership…We must work together to see the greatest impact,” writes missionary Jesse R Diggs in SEND56: REACHING THE UNREACHED OF AFRICA. This letter is an invitation to partner with me and a team from Resurrection Church in taking the gospel to Uganda. Our team of six leaves Charlotte on June 15 and arrives in Uganda on June 16. While there, we will partner with missionary Nadene Migli. We will be doing Vacation Bible School and providing food for Ugandan children, teaching Ugandan women to sew, (Ya, you know I won’t be doing that but members of the team will. ☺)and sharing the gospel in the villages around the His Farm compound. We will return on June 30th.

You can partner with Team Uganda and me in particular first by praying. (I am not a spring chicken anymore and the trip promises to be physically demanding.) Send me an email at KKyle57@outlook.com, and I will keep you updated on prayer needs. Secondly, please pray about giving toward expenses for this outreach. If the Lord lays it on your heart to give, please make checks payable to Resurrection Church and put my name and Uganda on the memo line. You can mail checks to me at 2929 Shenandoah Ave. Charlotte, NC 28205 or directly to the church, Resurrection Church 2940 Commonwealth Ave. Charlotte, NC 28205.

Some of you are already partnering with me through Kind Intentions Ministries and even more of you have been my partners in the gospel for many years so let me echo the words of Paul, “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you …” Thank you for your support. (Remember those Bartles and Jaymes commercials from years ago? ☺)

Gratefully sharing His blessings,

Kim
